Obrovisko Family Park

Description

The Obrovisko Family Park, located in the heart of the Muránská planina near the village of Muráň, is an ideal place for families looking for fun, knowledge and relaxation in nature.

The park offers a fairy-tale educational trail with monumental wooden statues of giants, such as Leši, Machoš, or Bažur, inspired by Slavic mythology and the work of local native Gustav Reuss.

In the contact MiniZoo you can meet bunnies, mini goats and mini sheep, which will delight visitors of all ages. The park also includes a large walk-through enclosure with alpacas and ponies, which you can observe and feed directly from the trail.

During the walk, the park offers beautiful views of the Muráňy Castle. For those who want to experience a night in nature, accommodation is available in wooden houses or a modern cottage with a view of the castle.

The giant is connected to the well-known Sysľovisko, where you can observe the largest colony of wild ground squirrels in Slovakia. These friendly creatures have become so accustomed to visitors that they will let you feed them directly from your hand.

The park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Admission:

children from 3 to 12 years old is 4 €,

persons from 12 years old 5 €,

children under 3 years old have free admission

Parking

Parking is provided directly at the site for a fee of €4 per car.

The mountain is easily accessible by car, on foot or by bicycle. There is an easy route from the village of Muráň, which takes approximately 30 minutes. From the opposite direction, from Predná Hora, it is approximately 4.5 km.
