Ferdinand Coburg Exhibition

Hunting lodge Predná Hora

A representative hunting lodge, which was purchased by the Bulgarian Tsar Ferdinand Coburg at the beginning of the 20th century at a hunting exhibition in Vienna, can be found in the Predná Hora area. Tsar Ferdinand Coburg was very fond of this place and often visited it as part of his hobbies - hunting and botany. It was during this period that he began the construction of the chateau, today's OLÚP building, but he did not manage to finish it.

The place served as his refuge and the center of his greatest interests. The interpretation and tour of five rooms allow visitors to learn facts about the life and history of Ferdinand Coburg's family. You can visit, for example, the place where he received official visitors, his desk, a collection of family photographs and watercolors by Arno Müller.

The exhibition also includes copies of graphic sheets by the German painter and engraver Johann Elias Ridinger, whose works were popular among the nobility and decorated many castles and manor houses. In addition, there is a display case with artistic products made of antlers, boar tusks and other hunting-themed objects.

OPENING HOURS

The exhibition can be visited daily from 10:00 to 11:00. The maximum number of people in the exhibition is 10. The price of the tour includes a small treat in the form of coffee, tea or water.
