Muráň Museum
Description
The Murán Museum, located in the historic building of the former Roman Catholic rectory, was opened in 2012 with the aim of presenting the rich history and culture of the village and its surroundings. The museum's interiors are decorated in a period style, depicting life in the past in this area. In addition, the museum hosts exhibitions containing objects related to the historical development of the village, such as historical documents, photographs, weapons, ceramics and furniture. Visitors can discover the diversity of the past through various exhibits. Since 2024, the museum's exposition has been complemented by an interactive video that introduces the history of the village, the legend of the Gypsy Woman, and the history of the Murán Castle.
