Muráň Castle Games 2025

The Muráň Castle Games have been held since 2004 and annually attract hundreds of visitors who want to experience the unique atmosphere of the Middle Ages in the picturesque surroundings of the Muránska planina. The event brings to life the rich history and cultural heritage of the region through period crafts, music, theater and interactive experiences for young and old. This year we will meet on Saturday, June 14, 2025 - don't miss it!

Program at Veľká lúka:

10:00 Opening of the medieval camp at Veľká lúka: Medieval crafts, photo exhibition of the Muránská planina, carriage ride, face painting, regional products market
10:30 - 11:15 Puppet Theater - Salt over Gold ( https://divadlopodbalkonom.sk )
11:15 - 11:45 Falconry performance
12:00 - 12:45 Puppet Theater - Hamlet

Program at Murano Castle:

10:00 Opening of the castle: Environmental activities for children, concerts of historical music by the Lords of Time ( https://panicasu.sk ), tastings of medieval cuisine, guided tours of the castle with Roman Vavrek
14.00 - 14:40 Theatre on the theme of falconry - Trial
15:00 Historical fencing ( https://virfortis.eu )

Admission:

Adult €7 with transport / €5 without transport / Child under 10 years free

Tickets can be purchased on the bus or before entering the castle.

Shuttle service:

For visitors, a shuttle service is provided from the village of Muráň to Veľká lúka, from where the hiking trail leads to the castle. Alternatively, it is possible to use hiking trails directly from Muráň or from the Predná Hora saddle.

Bus times:

9:30–11:30 Muráň (near the railway station) - Predná hora - Veľká lúka

17:00–18:30 Veľká lúka - Muráň - Predná hora
