Photo point on Zbojská

If you stand at the bell tower on Zbojská and look through the photo point with the pink symbol of Lykovec muránsky towards the opposite slope, into the Galička valley, you are looking straight into the heart of the Muránska Planina National Park - a landscape full of wild beauty, deep forests and steep rocky cliffs. In the distance lies Kučelach, part of the Fabová hoľa massif, the highest peak of the national park (1439 m above sea level), which is located in the so-called zone A , i.e. in the most strictly protected area of the national park.

This zone serves nature above all - without human intervention, without tourist trails, with the aim of preserving the original wilderness in its purest form. The dense, silent forests that you see here are home to wolves, lynxes, bears and rare bird species such as the capercaillie and the golden eagle. Among the trees are hidden old beeches, maples, spruces, but also mysterious karst phenomena - caves, chasms and underground streams.

It is here that nature has a free hand. Zone A forms the core of the Carpathian wilderness – a land where life unfolds according to its own laws and where man has only the role of observer. Such a view is rare and exceptional – you are looking at nature that has preserved its freedom.

We built the photo point to highlight the beauty of untouched nature. If you take a picture there and post it, tag @muranskaplanina so we know you were here and liked it.
