The Muráň Information Center will provide you with basic information about the natural values ​​of the Muránska Planina National Park, recommend routes and tips for trips, and issue permits for motor vehicles to enter the national park (to the Veľké lúka - Piesky location), from where you can comfortably head to Muráň Castle.

After visiting the Muránska Planina, we can buy souvenirs directly at the information center. If you plan to visit the Biele Vody ground squirrel meadow, the center offers chemically untreated and safe food for ground squirrels. You can find the place in the village of Muráň, near the square on the road towards Červená Skala. (building opposite the guesthouse U Sysľa)

National Park Exposition

In addition to the sales point, you can also admire the permanent exhibition of the national park, which will introduce you to the history of the area associated with Muráň Castle and will introduce you to the various types of habitats that are most represented in the national park. For organized groups, it is possible to arrange a guided tour in the exhibition or to hold a presentation in the seminar room.

OPENING HOURS

The information center is only open during the summer tourist season (June - September).

The information center will reopen in the next summer tourist season, starting on June 1, 2024.
